‘Mart-kos’ is the old Latin name for Mark. Martkos IT Ltd is my company and my passion.

My computer passion started at age 4 when my parents bought me a BBC Micro. It may have only had 32kb of memory but it unleashed my imagination.

So it was no surprise that I continued on to achieve my BSc Hons in Software Engineering.

From there I moved into the IT industry working for Fujitsu, EDS, Royal Mail, CSC and Hewlett Packard.

Initially, my career took the path of infrastructure support where I built servers, setup networking and deployed operating systems. This gave me a fantastic grounding on server ‘tin’ and how everything worked.

When at Royal Mail I had the opportunity to join the testing team and start my journey as a performance tester.

For the next 10 years I built my knowledge of performance testing and became an expert in Loadrunner.

In 2013 it was time for the next chapter, as I became freelance. This allowed me to move across sectors and to explore the open software world. New tools, new operating systems and the cloud. It was in 2016 that I started Martkos IT Ltd. I felt it was time to put my name, my passion for Performance Testing and experience to my own company.
