To simulate thousands of flat files being injected into an FTP docker container, we used a bash shell script to source, rename and move files into the required folders. The script reported real time information showing the count and elapsed time.
The FTP server in this instance was dockerised and therefore the bash script had to identify the docker container id and then execute commands to move the files into the container and then rename and move the files between folders.
